About Claire
 
Claire Alice McManus is board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. Claire holds a Bachelors degree from McGill University, Canada, and a Masters degree from the New England School of Acupuncture, Watertown, Massachusetts.
 
Since 2001, Claire has worked as both a Senior and Supervising Research Acupuncturist on large randomized controlled trials at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Cambridge Hospital.  Both trials were coordinated by the Osher Institute at Harvard Medical School and funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She is currently affiliated with Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. She has also been staff acupuncturist on call with Pathways to Wellness, the country's largest public health acupuncture clinic. Claire has lectured nationally and internationally on East Asian Medicine, and has been featured in the Boston Globe, The West Roxbury Transcript and Bulletin newspapers, and has been a featured radio guest on WBCN's Boston Sunday Review. Claire has  authored several articles related to acupuncture research methodology.
