What can you expect from an acupuncture treatment?
At your first visit, we will review your full health history, including any pain you are experiencing, lifestyle, sleep, diet and digestion and any other health concerns you may have. Traditional East Asian Medicine is focused on treating the individual not the disease, and a thorough understanding of each person is necessary to create a complete diagnosis and effective treatment strategy. The first visit includes a treatment and recommendation for treatment follow-ups, if necessary.
Plan 1.5 hours for your first Acupuncture Intake and Treatment. Follow-up treatments typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour. Needles are hair thin, made of surgical grade sterile stainless steel, and are used only once. Acupuncture is relatively painless. In fact, most people do not feel the needles and experience a deep relaxation during the treatment. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing at your visit.
